Document Description
The AC Water and Sewer Group would include replacement of a total of 10,705 linear feet (LF) of water mains and 2,721 LF of sewer mains. Approximately 10,705 LF of existing 6-, 8- and 12-inch Asbestos Cement (AC) water main will be replaced-in-place with new 8- and 12-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) water main within the same trench at the same or shallower depth. Approximately 565 LF of existing 8-inch vitrified clay (VC) and clay pipe (CP) sewer main will be replaced-in-place in the same trench alignment at the same or shallower depth with new 8-lnch PVC sewer main.
Approximately 1286 LF of PVC sewer main will be replaced in place within the same trench, but deeper than the existing depth with new PVC main sewer mains at depths ranging from 8 to 12 feet. Approximately 779 LF of new 8-inch PVC sewer main and 91 LF of new 10-inch PVC sewer main will be installed in new alignments at depths ranging from 8 to 12 feet via open trench construction.
