The project will reuse good quality oil field wastewater produced from the Davies Realty Co. Lease in the Kern Front Oil Field as a blending agent for irrigation water on the Concordia Ranch (hereafter "Ranch"); the blend will consist of 7% wastewater and 93% groundwater produced from irrigation well on the Ranch. There are approximately 120 acres of citrus (oranges and mandarins) currently being farmed on the Ranch that are irrigated with groundwater pumped from an irrigation well. Use of the reclaimed wastewater may reduce the amount of groundwater pumped from the Ranch irrigation well by approximately 70 acres feet per year.
