The project consists of a flood repair and streambed maintenance project for the South Fork of the Kern River. The flood protection project entails an approximate 20 to 50-foot-wide by approximately three mile long alignment along the south fork of the Kern River, located approximately 1,000 feet east of Fay Ranch Road and continuing west to a position approximately 3,000 feet west of Sierra Way, north of Hwy 178.
