Document Description
One geotechnical test boring within the dry channel. The boring will extend to approximately 80-ft depth and will be conducted to collect bulk soil samples with a standard penetration sampler. Compressed air driven percussion hammer will be used to advance the boring through the cobbles and boulders. If rock is encountered, diamond core drilling (using drill fluid) will be used to advance borings into rock and recover rock cores. If drill fluid is used, it will be contained in a closed mud tank and pump system to keep fluids out of the channel.
