Document Description
Rules 412 (IC Engines) and 471 (Asphaltic Concrete) are proposed control measures which the District committed in the 2009 Sacramento Regional 8-Hour Ozone and Reasonable Further Progress Plan (Plan). These measures would have required installation of new equipment or upgrades of existing equipment. The following factors have led the District to remove these proposed control measures from the Plan. Recent impact of the economic downturn in the construction and development industry; and Reduced emissions and estimated emissions reduction potential from the control measures, which increased the cost effectiveness well beyond other measures.
