- Document Description
- The Kamook staging area was developed over 20 years ago as a logging deck and is now used as a dispersed recreation vehicle staging area for the Miami Motorized Recreation area. The funding for this project would allow specialist input to finalize the Kamook Area Rehabilitation environemental analysis (2009/2010 OHV Planning Grant). This application requests funds to complete a heritage resource analysis related to the Kamook staging area as required by the National Historic Preservation Act. Funds would allow heritage resource specialists to provide information to the District Ranger in order to complete the Kamook rehabilitation analysis. The product would be a document that evaluates the site for National Register eligibility and if neccessary, determines mitigation for adverse effects for the Kamook Area Rehabilitation environmental analysis.
