Document Description
Sierra National Forest proposes the following activities to prevent the illegal use of the Dinkey Creek area: (1) Remove all trash, human waste, and fire rings. Rake the area and validate that no refuse or debris remains. (2) Revegetate with native plants and seeds. (3) Post the boundary with signs prohibiting use. (4) Install physical barriers such as rocks or lags. (5) One year after completing the area cleanup and closure, monitor the site for restoration/closure success. Monitoring would continue until there is evidence that erosion has been minimized, that vegetation is thriving, and that blocking vehicular use of the area has been effective.
