Document Description
Repair the Minnesota Cabin at Gilroy Hot Springs in Henry W. Coe State Park to address extensive deterioration and damage from vandalism. Work will construct new spread footing, pier and beam foundation, install new post and stud pony wall, level and replace floor, rehabilitate existing doors and windows, replace missing doors and windows, replace roofing to match original, stabilize porch and porch railing, restore original interior, and paint to match original. All salvageable historic fabric will be used in repair work. All replacement material will match original in size, dimension, species, etc. The work will be documented with a written description and photo-documentation will occur during all phases of the project.
