Document Description
The El Mirage OHV Education & Safety Project would fund an ongoing Jr. Ranger Program that will deliver the "On the Right Trail" OHV curriculum, the Tread Lightly and National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) messages to children and parents visiting public lands as well as elementary and middle school students. The grant would provide funding for one park ranger to deliver the Jr. Ranger Program at OHV areas and events and provide for the development and printing of a Jr. Ranger activity booklet for the El Mirage OHV Area, including any prining cost and incentives to support the program. The BFO's Desert Discovery Center partnership will be utilized to make school contacts and book the park rangers for safety fairs and classroom presentations.
