The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) acquires data for long-term monitoring of Sonoran Desert thorn woodlands where OHV occurs. This grant would fund bird population monitoring from March through May of 2012 in woodland habitats along the designated OHV route network in the North and East Colorado Desert planning area, the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area, and in North and East Colorado Desert wildernesses. Supplemental monitoring would also take place on the lands in California along the Colorado River managed by the Lake Havasu and Yuma BLM field offices.
