Document Description
Between the Cow Mountain and Knoxville areas, there are 152 miles of OHV roads and trails, three staging areas, and three developed campgrounds. The funding would be utilized to complete maintenance tasks including removing fallen trees, trimming/brushing vegetation along trails, cleaning/maintaining restrooms, pumping restroom vaults, trash pickup and removal, removing abandoned vehicles, repairing unsightly vandalism, replacing trash receptacles, and replacing signs/decals. The work would be completed by BLM staff, volunteers, and California Department of Forestry inmate crews. Trail brushing, fallen tree removal, sign replacement, vandalism repair, removal of trash and vault pumping would occur on an as needed basis.
