The purpose of the Shasta River Water Association Efficiency Project is to help landowners and the irrigation district manage water more effectively, thus reducing the producing the production of agricultural run-off. This project will replace 19 degraded ditch turn-outs with new waterman gates for better water control, lining 4,310 feet of earthen ditch to minimize ditch loss, and replacing on-farm toe ditches with gated pipe for increased water management.
