- Install seismic monitoring systems and seismometers to study southern section of the San Jacinto Fault Zone in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. At each seismic sensor site holes approximately 3' deep and 3' in diameter is dug with a shovel to bury the sensor and the data acquisition system. Solar panels with potentially a radio antenna attached will be installed. Some equipment will be dropped via helicopter. Equipment to stay in place for approximately three years.
