Document Description
The project will consist of installation of a solar array, comprising 1977 panels of about 17.5 square feet each, for a total of approximately 34,860 square feet. Panels would be slightly titled (about five degrees) from horizontal to improve system output, dust and dirt collection, and allow better drainage and cleaning. To the extent practicable, they would be positioned on the flat portion of existing building roofs or the angled portion of roofs facing the interior of the site to minimize their visibility from neighboring residences and adjacent streets. As part of the project, renewable energy curriculum would be developed. The project will provide an alternative source of electricity to power operation of the site, thereby reducing greenhouse gases from the use of fossil fuels.
