Document Description

Reasons for Exemption
The project site is not located within the visual corridor of a state scenic highway and is not visible from a state scenic highway (Sec. 21084(a)(b)). The proposed project would not impact any known archaeological or historic resources, as delineated in the City of Salinas General Plan, page COS-26 and COS-28 (Sec 21084(a)(b)), and subsequently would not cause a substantial adverse change in the significance of a historic resource (Sec. 21084(a)(e); 21084.1). According to the CDTSC website, the project site is not included on a list of hazardous materials sites compiles pursuant to Government Code 65962.5 (Sec. 21084(a)(c). The proposed project is a seismic retrofit of an existing hospital facility located within the City of Salinas and does not increase capacity of the facility.
