Document Description
Note: Review Per Lead To reduce health and safety hazards, structures within the updated Curry Village rockfall hazard zone within Yosemite National Park were closed in 2008. This project addresses the future of the remaining 72 closed structures, 70 of which are historic structures (mainly hard-sided rustic cabins) built in the 1920s. The EA analyzes a range of alternatives from the removal of all structures from the zone and allowing the area to return to its natural state (preferred alternative) to retaining a range of historic structures (from 5 to 68) until a permanent solution can be analyzed following the completion of the Merced Wild and Scenic River Comprehensive Management Plan.
