Residents protected by the Briceland Volunteer Fire Department are proposing to form a fire protection district pursuant to the Fire Protection District Law of 1987 (Section 13800 through 13970 of the CA Health and Safety Code) and the Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000 (Sections 56000 and following of the CA Government Code) to support the continued delivery of fire suppression, rescue, and basic life support emergency medical services to their community. This IS evaluates the potential environmental impacts that could result from the proposed formation of the Fruitland Ridge Fire Protection District.
