The University proposes to enter into a contract with PG&E to reinforce the natural gas service to the UC Santa Cruz main campus by constructing a new, 8-inch distribution pipeline in Western Drive and across High Street to the existing service connection, a distance of approximately 0.5 mile. The potential environmental impacts of the PG&E Natural Gas Service Reinforcement Project were analyzed in the Cogeneration Plant Replacement Phase 1 Project Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration.
