Document Description
Phase 1 of the project includes trans locating the Iowa from San Francisco Bay to the Port of Los Angeles. The ship will be cleaned offshore, refurbished and retrofitted to serve as a floating museum open to the public. Iowa will be permanently moored at Berth 87. Temporary landside ticketing, gangway and restroom facilities will be constructed off-site and moved to Berth 87. Phase 2 will be Implemented in approximately 7 years after project commencement and includes construction of a permanent, 33,8000 square foot museum and administrative facility.
