The project involves relocating the USS Iowa to the Port, placing her at Berth 87. The proposed project includes the preparation and transport of USS Iowa from Suisun Bay to the Port; year-round mooring of the battleship at Berth 87 in the North Harbor area of the Port for use as a regional attraction; preparing the battleship for visitors; use of an existing 300 space parking lot; a two prefabricated 480 sf office/restroom structures, and; two prefabricated Entry Platforms to accommodate access to the ship.
