- Document Description
- The project includes installation of approximately 600 miles of underground, high strand county fiber-optic cable, with various spurs (distribution lines) away from main backbone, connecting to 17 prefabricated buildings (nodes) within communitics along the route, and approximately 626 underground access vaults placed approximately every 4,500 to 7,500 feet. The project is expected to result in temporary loss of 379 acres of Mohave ground squirrel (Spermophilus mohavensis) and desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) habitat and incidental take of these species. This ATP Amendment No. 2 will change the expiration date of the ITP from October 31, 2013 to December 31, 2014.
