Document Description
This project will masticate approximately 50 acres of brush, dead material, and small trees owned by the Vedanta Society of Northern CA. The goal is to reduce the fire hazard by removing ladder fuels and breaking the ground fuel continuity. The overstory consists of conifer groups with large openings between - and these openings are dominated by brush or thickets of saplings. No perennial or seasonal watercourses in project area. No commercial product will be removed and adequate stocking of young trees will be left on site. This project is an extension on work done in 2010.
