Document Description
CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 (SAA# 1600-2011-0182-R6) of the Fish and Game Code to the project Permittee, Southern California Edison Co. Permittee proposes to the install a geomembrane liner on the upstream face of Saddlebag Lake Dam, repair the deteriorated concrete areas along the dam face, conduct repairs to the outlet system, and fill a sinkhole that contributes to leakage. To conduct the project, Permittee will draw down Saddlebag lake prior to beginning work activities in the Fall of 2011, when lake levels are normally low and the dam face is exposed. The dam outlet valve will remain open for the duration of the project to allow natural flows to pas through Lee Vining Creek. The geomembrane will be installed using swingstages and minimal scaffolding. Work is proposed to begin in September, 2011 and is expected to take 90 days to complete.
