Document Description
The project is limited excavation of a small section of creek bed to expose an existing irrigation pump water intake pipe and to attach to vertical screened standpipes to the existing horizontal component to allow for intake of purchased water from the Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) to be used for purposes of agricultural irrigation. A conical fish screen cover with slot openings of 2.38 mm will be installed over the vertical surface water intake pipes. A concrete cut-off wall will be installed immediately adjacent to the bank to prevent further erosion of the bank from occurring during cleaning and back-flushing of the intake pipes. The screened intake cover will be physically attached to the cut-off wall. All work will be completed in the dry. If possible work will be conducted while stream flows are low and the repair area is exposed and dry. If this is not possible then a coffer dam will be constructed within the stream to route water flows around the worksite.
