Document Description
The project involves the felling and removal of individual hazard trees located throughout the CAL FIRE Leggett Forest Fire Station property. Several of the trees currently pose a hazard to life safety due to bole rot and winter storm damage that has comprised the integrity of overhead canopy. Others are damaging infrastructure through pavement/concrete root system intrusion and/or canopy encroachment over buildings. Organic debris created from the tree felling will either be chipped and distributed on site or else will be hand-piled and burned during the winter period. No heavy equipment will be used for this project. The trees are interspersed throughout the fire station envelope of buildings, paved & graveled parking areas, hiking paths, & associated.
