Document Description
The project under consideration is the rehabilitation of existing aging wastewater collection system pipeline in an existing sewer easement on the northeast shore of Lake Arrowhead. The project would rehabilitate by slip lining approximately 5,000 linear feet of pipeline which is more than 50 years old to help reduce infiltration and inflow to the District's sewer system. The proposed project will increase reliability of sewer collection system.

The proposed project falls within the criteria for a Section 15302, Class 2: Replacement or Reconstruction Categorical Exemption. Section 15302 specifically references publicly owned utilitites as being suited for possible exemptions under this class. Teh operative text states: Class 2 consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing facilities, structurees, or other property where the new facility or structure will be located on the same site as the replaced or reconstructed faility or structure and will have substanntially the same purpose and capacity as the replaced or reconstructed facility or structure. Therefore, this proposed action is not forecast to cause any potential for adverse significant environmental impacts and qualifies with the requiredments for a Class 2 exemptino category.
