Document Description
Upgrade existing facilities at Plumas Eureka Park to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and meet requirements in the "California State Parks Accessibility Guidelines". At Camp Lisa work will:
" Excavate to remove the barbeque, food preparation table, and food storage locker.
" Remove the asphalt/concrete surface around the 1400 sq ft group kitchen and picnic area, excavate up to 10" deep to level the area, import up to 25 yards of fill rock/aggregate mix and pour new concrete walk way.
" Excavate two holes up to 24 inches and 4 inches wide to install a new group barbeque and surface mount a food preparation table and storage locker on the concrete.
" Excavate 24 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 3 feet long to install a new sink area with plumping.

Reasons for Exemption
Project consists of the minor alteration of existing public structures and facilities involving negligible expansion of use beyond current levels included as "modification of existing facilities for handicap access" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR S 15300.4, the construction and location of limited numbers of new small facilities and the minor alteration in the condition of land that does not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
