Document Description
The project is limited to excavation of a section of an existing petroleum product transmission pipeline. The excavated area will be approximately 5 feet wide by 150 feet long and 2 feet deep within an intermittent drainage. The intent of the project is to check the integrity of the pipeline, recoat it or replace sections as needed to maintain the integrity of the pipeline, and armor it with a rock shield. Once this is complete the pipeline will be reburied and the area restored using native materials. Over time the channel of the drainage has shifted to following the pipeline rather than simply crossing it. As part of this project the original channel of the drainage will be restored and the drainage rerouted into the original channel, away from the pipeline.
