Document Description
The proposed project involves renovation of the existing Central Power Plant (Boiler Plant) and will include installation of two new boilers, new 460-volt electrical panel, and replacement of critical mechanical system, lines, pumps, condensate tank, de-aerator tank and related valves. No modifications are proposed for the exterior of the building. Installation of the boilers may require removal of the large bay of windows to get the equipment in place, however, the windows will be replaced and the building returned to the same condition prior to project. This project is necessary to meet the current heating needs of the facility.

The project consists of repair and maintenance of an existing State facility. The project will not expand the existing use of the facility. Because the Yountville Veterans Home is designated as a Historic District on the California Register of Historic Resources, the State Historic Preservation Officer was consulted. Based on consultation with the SHPO staff, it has been determined that the project will not result in an adverse effect on historic resources.
