Document Description
The contract will fund the construction of a hydrogen fueling station for public and private us at AC Transit's current bus yard. The hydrogen fueling station will occupy approximately 2,500 sq. ft., and include a 9,000 gallon tank, a hydrogen storage system, and two new dispensers integrated into the existing fueling island, in order to fuel AC Transit's hydrogen bus fleet. The project benefits AC Transit, subcontractor Linde, LLC, and the public in Alameda and Contra Costa counties by demonstrating the cost-effectiveness and feasibility of alternative and renewable vehicle technology, thereby reducing reliance on petroleum fuels and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
