Document Description
The DTSC is proposing to approve an Explanation of Significant Differences (ESD) that would modify the final remedy for Operable Unit A (OU-A) contained in a Remedial Action Plan previously approved by DTSD in August 2008. If approved, it would allow for the removal of approximately 13,850 cy of contaminated soils, waste, and debris (approximately 756 truck loads) from a previously constructed consolidated cell located at the former Georgia-Pacific Wood Products Facility; and transporting the material to an approved disposal facility. After removal activities have been completed, the resulting excavated area will be backfilled with 10,000 cy of clean fill material available at the Georgia-Pacific site. If more fill material are needed, it will be obtained from the Noyo Harbor Dredge Sands.
