Document Description
The proposed project consists of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) application requesting approval to modernize and reactivate the existing oil storage and transfer faciltiies on site of the GenOn Pittsburg Generating Station. The facilities (marine terminal, storage tanks, pipelines, and ancillary equipement) were formerly used to store and supply fuel oil to the generating station; however, they have not been used for the purpose in over 15 years. The proposal is to modernize and upgrade these facilities in order to transport and store virgin and partially refined crude oil. No finished products suc as gasoline or diesel will be handled as part of the project.
