Document Description
The NID Banner-Taylor Reservoirs are utilized as clear wells and a water storage facility for the E. George Treatment plant and as main storage and emergency reserve for the E. George system. NID proposes to replace the existing hypalon-covered, earthen Banner-Taylor Reservoirs with two storage tanks. The tanks may be concrete, concrete with aluminum top, hypalon covers, or hypalon lined with aluminum top with modification of existing onsite piping. The hypalon covers with installed in 1992 and the covers are badly deteriorated requiring replacement. Due to the current conditions of the covers, replacement of the covers needs to be performed as soon as possible. The project site is on 10 acres of NID property including staging areas. The proposed project area is located in Nevada County.
