Document Description
Request to increase a dairy her from 200 milking cows and 66 dry cows to 864 milking cows, 141 dry cows, and 35 bred heifers. The project site encompasses two (2) parcels with a combined acreage of 115.14 acres. After the dairy expansion, 95 acres will be cropping acreage and 20.14 will be non-cropping acreage. The dairy site will utilize 10.97 acres of the non-cropping acreage. Cattle Shades will be constructed over existing corrals. Dairy farming is a permitted use in the General Agricultural zoning district; however, because the RWQCB has determined the need for Waste Discharge Requirements, a Use Permit is required. RWQCB has approved the Dairy Facility Design Study contingent on completing the CEQA process.
