Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) are executing Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2012-0423-3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the East Bay Regional Park District. The project is located at Rheem Creek, in the City of Richmond, at the northern terminus of Goodrick Avenue, immediately north of Richmond Parkway. The project, as defined under Section 1602, is limited to installation of a new free-span pedestrian bridge over Rheem Creek, and demolition and removal an existing concrete box culvert. The new bridge will be located approximately 300 feet upstream from the existing box culvert and will consist of a 16-foot-wide by 90-foot-long steel truss structure. The concrete abutments will be placed above the top of bank. The new bridge will span the 100-year floodplain and will provide approximately three feet of clearance over the 100-year flood surface elevation.
