Document Description
The project consists of issuing a Neg Dec for the issuance of Standardized Hazardous Waste Facility Permit, Small Quantity C for Mantrex Inc. doing business as WIT Sales and Refining (WIT) located in San Jose, CA. WIT submitted to the Department of Toxic Substances Control an application dated May 17, 2010 and subsequently revised on March 29, 2011 to comply with the requirements of Division 4.5, Title 22, CA Code of Regulations. DTSC regulates the storage and treatment of hazardous waste in CA (Health and Safety Code, Division 20). The Permit, if approved, would authorize WIT the operation of the following units: (1) Unit 1, Container Storage Area 1, (2) Unit 2, Container Storage Area 2, (3) Unit 3, Precious Metals Stipping Unit, (4) Precious Metals Precipitation Unit, (5) Unit 5, Precious Metal Purification Unit and (6) Unit 6, Precious Metals Electroytic Recovery Unit.
