Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. The Project includes construction and operation of an 800-megawatt maximum wind energy generation facility. Major components of the Project includes two (2) permanent and three (3) temporary meteorological towers, 26.24 miles of access roads, fencing, clearing and grading, underground communication cables, underground and overhead collection systems, overhead transmission lines, one (1) collector substation, up to three (3) concrete batch plants, one (1) laydown area, two (2) aqueduct bridge crossings, one (1) operations and maintenance (O&M) facility, and O&M activities. Grading for the Project will excavate, contour and place fill in a portion of several unnamed ephemeral tributaries to Rogers Dry Lake and Rosamond Dry Lake. Project components that will occur in CDFW jurisdictional areas include road construction, culvert and rip-rap installation, tributary realignment due to turbine pad construction, and the trenching of underground electrical collection lines.
