Document Description
The Victorville Water District's 20-Year Comprehensive Water Master Plan (WMP) defines the water supply and water infrastructure system components required to meet the 2030 water demand within the District's service area, which includes two hydraulically separated water systems, Improvement District 1 and Improvement District 2. VWD obtains all of its water supplies from local groundwater wells. The systems consists of the two improvement district containing seven primary pressure zones, three sub-zones, and one small isolated pressure zone. The entire district presently serves approximately 119,500 customers within the approximately square mile service area. The Victorville Water District WMP envisions the expansion or installation of the following facilities: new pipelines, new pressure reducing stations, new reservoirs, new groundwater wells, the R^3 project, and the acquisition of well and reservoir sites. The expansion and installation of the required infrastructure and future operation of the modified system through 2030 is the project being evaluated in this environmental document.
