Document Description
The proposed Project is the acquisition of right-of-way and construction of approximately 5,800 linear feet of Whitewood Road (formerly Meadowlark Road) to its "ultimate width" between Baxter Road and Keller Road. Whitewood Road is shown in the General Plan Circulation Element as four-lane "Major" roadway and is part of the City's Capital Improvement Plan. In addition to the roadway, the initial phase of the Project also including grading and excavation, storm drains, storm water treatment facilities, wildlife under-crossings, street lights at intersections, curb cuts and wheel chair ramps at intersections, and signing and striping. Traffic signals and signal interconnect conduits will be installed at the intersections of Whitewood Road/Baxter Road and Whitewood Road/Keller Road. Parkway and median landscape improvements will include a completely automated irrigation system and planting materials will be selected from the City's landscape palette to promote water efficiency and infiltration, will be constructed at a later date.
