The stream bank has become subject to increased bank erosion pressure as the result of the Lagunitas Road Bridge replacement completed in 2010. If no action is taken, stream bank failures on town of Ross and downstream private properties are expected likely. The project entails construction of biotechnical bank erosion protection including substantial aquatic and riparian habitat enhancement at the site. Beneficiaries include Town of Ross, general public, adjacent private landowners, and habitat.
