The City of Sunnyvale proposes to adopt a Single-Use Carryout Bag Ordinance that would: (1) prohibit retail stores located in Sunnyvale and falling into one or more of the three categories described in the project from providing "single-use plastic carryout bags" to customers at the point of sale; and (2) create a mandatory 15 cent ($0.15) charge for each paper bag distributed by those stores.
