Document Description
The project involves the replacement of six headstones that mark the graves of Russian sailors who were buried at the Mare Island cemetery in 1863 at the time of the Russian fleet's visit to San Francisco. The condition of the headstones is varied. Two relatively intact, one partially broken, and two broken with pieces remaining in the cemetery.
