The applicant is requesting Use Permit approval to operate a temporary portable asphalt batch plant for a Caltrans paving project on I-5 from 0.3 miles south of the Weed Roadside Rest Area to 0.7 miles south of the Grenada over-crossing. It is expected that the paving would take place in 2011 during the summer months. The portable batch plant is anticipated to be used for a period of less than 30 days.
