Document Description
The purpose of this project is to amend existing District Rule 4702 (Internal Combustion Engines), which was adopted by the District's Governing Board in August 2003. The purpose of Rule 4702 is to limit emissions of nitrogen oxide (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO) and volatile organic compounds (VOC) from internal combustion engines. The proposed amendments to Rule 4702 would include: administrative changes to rule language, and lower the applicability threshold for stationary IC engines to a rated brake horsepower of 25 or greater. The project will seek to obtain reductions in NOx emissions.
