Document Description
The purpose of the Carlsbad Hydrologic Unit Invasive, Non-Native Plant Control and Revegetation Program is to restore riparian habitat in the Carlsbad Hydrologic Unit through implementation of approved invasive, non-native plant control methods and native revegetation. The Carlsbad Hydrologic Unit is approximately 210-sq. miles of watershed that extends from Lake Wolhford to the Pacific Ocean. The hydrologic unit falls within the County of San Diego jurisdiction, as well as other land use jurisdictions. Approval of the Program for lands under the jurisdiction of the County, within the Carlsbad Hydrologic Unit will be the first step in achieving invasive plant control and revegetation throughout the watershed. Work will occur in a phased approach depending on identified priority needs, effectiveness of work and funding availability.
