Document Description
Proposal by the Sweetwater Authority to replace the water main from Acacia Avenue to the Starr Tank as part of the Capital Improvement Program. This replacement will upgrade the aging and degraded pipeline within a section of the Sweetwater Authority system. This project is consistent with the Water Distribution System Master Plan Update (Sweetwater Authority, 2007). The Sweetwater Authority proposes to utilize directional boring to replace ~1,255 LF of existing 10-inch welded steel water main with 12-inch Fusible Polyvinyl Chloride (FPVC) water pipe. The replacement would occur within a Sweetwater Authority easement between the easterly terminus of Acacia Avenue and the Starr Tank site located south of the cul-de-sac on Ridgeview Way.
