Document Description
The purpose of this project is to install a central heating, air conditioniong, and humidity control system (HVAC) in Joshua Cottage and to insulate the roof in order to control the climate. The new HVAC condenser will be located on a concrete pad just outside of Joshua Cottage. The furnace will be located inside the attic. Pipes will connect the condenser and furnace. Pipes will be ruoted in such a way as not to be obtrusive from the outside of the building. the current gas heater and propane pipes will be removed. Plywood will be installed to form a base for the roof and to provide structural stability. Metal flashing on the edge of the roof will cover and protect the historic roof and will be painted to match the original color.
