Document Description
The project will fund a demonstration test of the Chrysler Ram 1500 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle pick-up to collect performance data under real-world conditions. The project will also fund installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure throughout the Sacramento area. These chargers are small, sited in existing parking lots, and any trenching to install them will restore the land to its original condition. The project benefits the public by demonstrating the cost-effectiveness and feasibility of alternative and renewable vehicle technology, thereby reducing reliance on petroleum fuels and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Therefore, their installation would not have a signinficant environmental impact.
