Document Description
The project consists of repairs to the existing dock structure, tower, and utilities. Equipment on the dock will be repaired or replaced. Rehabilitation of the existing dock structure includes: repairs to water (fire suppression and potable water), electrical, and communications services; repair and/or replacement of barriers on the timber dolphin structure; repair and/or replacement of decking on the dolphin structure; and, replacement of the piling bracing and struts.
Replacement of the piling bracing includes installation of forty-four sets of steel bracing on steel piles, reinforcement of steel piles with rebar, and repairs to a damaged pile on the access dock. Repairs to the damaged pile consists of placing a bracket on the pile above the water line and on top of piles adjacent to the pile in need of repair. A truss will be built by placing angle iron from the various brackets to strengthen the existing pile.
