Document Description
The project will fund the installation or upgrade of at least 325 electric vehicle chargers in existing fleet, public, and private parking lots, structures, and spaces throughout counties in Southern California. Each charger is approximately 2' wide x 4' tall. The chargers would not eliminate, change, or intensify parking capacity in the parking lots. Some locations will require minor trenching to install the chargers, with the land restored to its original condition after installation. The project benefits electric vehicle fleets and public users and the public generally by providing cost-effective public charging, demonstrating the feasibility of alternative and renewable vehicle technology, reducing reliance on petroleum fuels, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
